Carrie Anne Russo - Lead Vocals and Percussions
Who we are…
William Russo - Drums and vocals
William Russo has been beating to the beat of a drum as far back as he can remember. He began drum lessons as an early teen and made his entrance to the music industry in the early 80s in Brevard County, Florida. Here he began his music career in a local band called Last Chance. His passion for music continued in other local Brevard County bands, such as the Robin Chase Band, Hot Pursuit, Diamond Back, Double Down, and Elgin Hooper. Bill and lead vocalist Carrie Anne started Murphy’s Law Space Coast in 2017, inspiring to bring a fresh prospective and creativity to the local music industry. Bill has been playing drums and percussion instruments for over 45 years and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon. Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, and Deep Purple are some of his inspirations. Entertaining became a way of life for William. He has been in various worship bands over the years and has a true passion for the Church and the effect music has on his community. His love for percussion does not stop there, as he is also known for carrying some dynamic and killer vocals.
Chip Cruey - Bass and Vocals
Charles “Chip” Cruey is a legendary bass player here in Brevard County. He started playing bass when he was just 15 and has been in local bands for over 45 years. Chip began playing in the band Elgin Hooper in 1986 and recorded Elgin Hooper’s first CD in 1998. In 2019, he joined Murphy’s Law Space Coast alongside his former Elgin Hooper bandmate William Russo to pursue his next chapter as a musician. Chip emerges himself in his music to the very soul of every song. The late ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Leon Wilkerson are a few of his true inspirations. His creative flair and energy are endless and apparent with every strum of the bass. With Chip, the sky is the limit, and with his talent, anything is possible.
Michael Snider - Guitar, Keyboard and Vocals
Michael Snider picked up his first guitar when he was just 10 years old. His early inspirations were Chet Atkins, also known as Mr. Guitar, and Les Paul himself. As well as guitar, Mike enjoys playing drums, bass, and keyboards. Mike’s earlier years consisted of creating backing tracks with a duo group before getting serious in the early 90’s. Mike started playing in local bands here in Brevard County such as Matrix, EBGB’s, The Yout’s, Lyrical Soul and Elgin Hooper. Mike joined Murphy’s Law in 2021 to add a second guitar player to the band. Along with his vocal dynamics, he added keyboard as well to make Murphy’s Law a little more versatile.
Ken Sharp - Guitar and Vocals (allegedly)
Ken Sharp, as a toddler, gravitated to his teen sister’s room when she was playing the hit 45s at the time. In grade school, a classmate’s older brother’s band was his first exposure to the sound of a guitar cranked up and the feel of the bass and drums hitting him in the chest, and he was hooked. He spent his teen years playing with anyone in small-town Arizona who wanted to play rock instead of country and in his 20s in the original music scene of San Francisco. He continued his love of writing music in Florida, resulting in a Waterline 42 album recorded at The Zone with local legend Pat Bautz on drums. He spent a couple pre-pandemic years on bass with Honest Havoc , mixing original and cover material. He found his home with Murphy’s Law in 2023, loving the energy and vibe of the band and extended band family/friends/fans.
